Started by Ryan's mother, Paula Whitaker, in 2008, The Ryan Paul Whitaker Memorial Foundation has helped approximately 1,375,000 people and over $2.5 million dollars has been donated to community charities and ministries.
The Ryan Paul Whitaker Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax deductible.
It is Paula's hope that many more will be touched and that Ryan's legacy to help others lives on in the lives impacted by the ministries and programs funded by The Ryan Paul Whitaker Memorial Foundation.
The Foundation is based on the scripture of Matthew 25:35-40:
Then Jesus said….. “ I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothes me, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.” Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothed you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to take care of you?’ Then Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you did it for me.”
